Day 1 : Marangu Gate-Mandara Hut
An early morning after breakfast and briefing, drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate 45 minutes, register and commence the climb. Walk through the rainforest to the Mandara encampment located at 9000 ft / 2740 m, in the rainforest, look for towering Eucalyptus trees, bird life, and Colubus monkeys 3-4 hours to Mandara hut 2700m for dinner and overnight. (Meals; Lunch and Dinner.)
Day 2 : Mandara Hut-Horombo Hut
After breakfast, leave the glades of the rain forest and continue trekking past the Maundi crater into open rolling moorland. The trek takes about 5-6 hours to Horombo 3808m hut for overnight. (Here, an extra day for acclimatization is recommended) Meal Plans – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3 : Horombo Hut for acclimatization
This extra day is taken at Horombo Hut to help your body's acclimatization, and also to enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is an optional trek to the base of Mawenzi, at nearly 15,000 feet (4,600 m), along the way passing Zebra Rock, and the striking landscape of the moorland zone. Overnight. (Meals;Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.)
Day 4 : Horombo Hut-Kibo Hut
After a good night’s rest, trek past the last water point to reach Kibo hut 4725m through saddle, a broad desert zone between the two peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. Kibo hut is reached in 5-6 hours. Overnight.( Meals Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.)
Day 5 : Uhuru Peak (Roof of Africa!)
The start for the summit is made just after midnight. The steepest part of the route is to Gillman's point 5700m, which takes 5-6 hours. Another 90 minutes of groveling through the snow, and you are at Uhuru peak 5895m - the highest point in Africa! The descent takes about 5-6 hours to Horombo hut. Overnight. Meal Plans – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6 : Horombo Hut-Marangu Gate
This day spent descending to the Marangu gate. Transfer to Arusha /Moshi.(Meals;Breakfast only)

Day 1 : Machame Gate-Machame Hut
Early morning after breakfast, start with a drive to Machame gate. Begin trekking though the rain forest on a winding trail, for 5-7 hours past the fist hut to the Machame hut Campsite 3100m for dinner and overnight. (Meals Lunch and Dinner.)
Day 2 : Machame Camp-Shira Camp
After breakfast, leave the glades of the rain forest and continue on an ascending path, crossing a little valley and walking along a steep rocky ridge covered with heather until the end of the ridge. The route then turns west onto a river gorge at 3658m 5-7hours for dinner and overnight at the shira hut campsite 3800. (Meals;Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.)
Day 3 : Shira Camp -Barranco Camp
From the shira plateau, continue trekking east towards the lava tower called (the shark’s tooth””). Shortly after the tower, you come to a junction leading to the arrow glacier. Continue to Barranco hut campsite 3950m for dinner and overnight 5-7hours. (Meals;Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.)
Day 4 : Barranco Camp-Barafu Camp
Leaving Barranco continues walking on a steep ridge passing the Barranco wall, through the Karanga valley and the junction that is connected to the Mweka trail. Continue trekking to the Barafu hut campsite 4600m for dinner and overnight. 8-9hours.The two peaks, mawenzi and Kibo can be seen from this point. Meal Plans – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5 : Barafu Camp-Uhuru Peak (Roof of Africa!)
Early morning after breakfast, start with a drive to Machame gate. Begin trekking though the rain forest on a winding trail, for 5-7 hours past the fist hut to the Machame hut Campsite 3100m for dinner and overnight. (Meals Lunch and Dinner.)

Just after midnight trek to Stella point 5745m on the way to the summit, the UHURU peak, and this part of the climb takes about 8hours. Now you have reached the highest point in Africa 5895m! From the summit, descend to Mweka hut campsite 3100m for dinner and overnight. 5-hours (Meals; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6 : Mweka Camp-Mweka Gate
This day is spent descending to the Mweka park gate 3-4hours. Transfer back to Moshi town for overnight at the hotel of your choice.(Meals;Breakfast only )

6 DAYS - 5 NIGHTS KILIMANJARO UMBWE ROUTE - 1980 $ per person, 6 people mini
Day 1 : Umbwe Gate - Umbwe Cave
At 7:30 a.m., we'll transfer you to the Umbwe Park Gate at 2,100m. The path begins an a narrow ridge crest between the Lonzo River to the West and the Umbwe River to the East. It is easy to follow as it continues up through the dense forest. The path continues to follow the ridge, rising steadily with some steep sections and scramble rocks. The route takes you to the first tented camp Umbwe Cave at 2,940 in 5 to 6 hrs.( Meals;Lunch and dinner).
Day 2 : Umbwe Cave - Barranco
We follow the trail through steep and scramble rock across rainforest to moorland. The path proceeding steep to the Southern Glacier Branches, at 4000m we reach our campsite, Barranco, were we overnight. 6-7 hrs.(Meals;Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
Day 3 : Barranco Camp - Karanga Valley Camp
The day will begin with a descent into the Gorge, before we climb its eastern wall where we will enjoy views of Kilimanjaro's ice fields, an equatorial anomaly. We will continue trekking until we reach our camp in Karanga Valley 13,900 feet, 4-5 hours of walking. (Meals;Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner).
Day 4 : Karanga Valley Camp - Barafu Camp
We'll trek up through the Karanga Valley, the trail turns steadily uphill, following the lava ridge to the Barafu camp. The temperature will grow colder and the landscape more sparse as we near Barafu Camp. Barafu Camp is set on a small, exposed flat area on a ridge, acting as a base camp from which you will make your summit attempt at midnight tonight. Barafu camp 15,200 feet, 6-7 hours of walking.(Meals;Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner)
Day 5 : Barafu Camp - Summit - Mweka Camp
Just after midnight we start of a challenging trek (12-17 hours of trekking). You begin trekking at 12:30 to 1am, passing between the Rebmann and Tarzel glaciers to the rim at Stella Point. just before dawn at the summit. As dawn nears, we'll summit at Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 19,340 feet. Uhuru will be the culmination of - and the reward for - 6-7 hours of strenuous hiking. We'll then descend back to Barafu Camp, resting for a while before continuing our descent to Mweka Camp 9,840 feet, 3-4 hours of walking on the descent. (Meals;Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner)
Day 6 : Mweka Hut - Mweka Gate- Moshi Town
After breakfast descends steeply through the forest on a narrow path, after 3 - 4 hours walking we will reach Mweka Gate at 1400m. From here we will bring you to Moshi/ Arusha town.(Breakfast only)
