1-Pugu Hills


The nearest place where you can do hiking from Dar es salaam city.
Pugu and kisarawe are among the oldest forest in the world undisturbed coastal forest. Have a close canopy which a few piooner species are found 14 plant species, 2 mammals species and 1subspecies of birds. The forest hills is a good place for acclimatizing, birds spot. While hiking provides a good way of enjoying learning and exposure in a few hours.You can do Hiking,trekking,community work and many more.

2-Uluguru Mountains.


Uluguru Mountains rise southeast of Morogoro Town and its about 2km to the spot, its 2500km above sea level, lie 200 km inland from the Indian Ocean.
Lupanga peak, Bondwa peak and Kinole peak are the popular peaks on this Mountains. The higher is Lupanga peak, but the tourists come more often to Bondwa peak because its just 1500km and many others they hike up to Morning side where you will have the chance to see Germany historical site, built 1910, and later go to the choma waterfall
The name uluguru mountains come from the Luguru tribe, been living on the mountains for several hundred years, so the name means people's mountains.
Females are the one own the Land and they are powerful in village life compared to other tribes. Every tour is different from the other in one or more ways, and so is this. This happens because others cant differentiate trekking from other safaris like wildlife game viewing.

 

 

 

 

3- Udzungwa Mountains


Harbouring one of East Africa’s great forests, Udzungwa Mountain National Park has an area of 1990 sq km, bordered by the Great Ruaha River to the north, with Mikumi National Park and Selous Game Reserve located further to the north and east. Protected as a national forest reserve until 1992 when it was commissioned as National Park, Udzungwa Mountains is undoubtedly one of the few true virgin and unique forested lands remaining in the world. The major attractions include its biologically diverse forest, harbouring some plant species found nowhere else in the world, from a tiny African violet to 30-metre high trees.
Apart from the forest, which acts as a water catchment area and having a large number of endemic species of both animals and plants, the park has spectacular mountains scenery, grasslands, rocks, rivers and waterfalls. One of the most interesting sights is the presence of two indigenous species of primates, the Iringa red colobus monkey and the Sanje Crested Mangabey, not known until 1979.
It can be hiking throughout the year although it is a bit slippery during the wet rainy season. The dry season extends from June to October.

4-Usambara Mountains.


The Usambara Mountains. Are home to an unspoiled tropical forest that is rare in East Africa and of great ecological interest. The valuable ecology of the Usambara is seeking increasing protection by conservation organizations and some donor countries like Norway.The tropical forests are home to endemic bird species including the Naduk eagle owl (Bubo vosseleri), the Usambara Akalat (Sheppardia montana), Amani sunbird, green-headed oriole, southern banded snake eagle and the Usambara weaver (Ploceus nicolli).In addition to learning about the conservation needs of this mountain range and doing some spectacular birding, there are ample opportunities for hiking with stunning viewpoints over the forested mountains.
IRENTE VIEW POINT TOUR (3-4 hrs). Many tourist and different people from different countries come to view the panoramic view of Maasai Steppe.After breakfast from your hotel of stay at Lushoto, Start Walk at 8 am through the local villages,local farms while experiencing the culture of Sambaa people to irente view point. Enjoy the incredible and spectacular view over the maasai plains and sisal plantation from the edge of usambara mountain at 1400m above the mean sea level. Don`t forget about the lovely sunset at the point. On the way back visit IRENTE FARM for lunch and also there is possibility to by cheese and rye breads. Lunch included in payment.
